Farmers’ networks and the quest for reliable advice: innovating in Greece

Purpose This paper seeks to better understand the dynamics of farmers’ innovating processes by focusing on their sources advice at various stages innovation process, specifically within weak and fragmented Greek Agricultural Knowledge Innovation System (AKIS).Design/methodology/approach The study employed a mixed-method approach, drawing data from interviews with 112 farmers engaged in three cases Greece.Findings Some farmers, despite lack advisory services, are processes. They thus seek through networks which vary between process. However, networking is not always successful knowledge acquired valid.Practical implications points need for support services facilitated quest paths.Theoretical underlines complexity knowledge.
